Nocturnal Coordinator (Full-Time)

The Children's Residential Program (CRP) serves the unique needs of children and youth, ages 5-21, who have varying levels of behavioral, emotional, medical and physical challenges. Client population includes RCL 12 Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) DCFS youth with mental health conditions. In a warm and loving home setting, children receive round-the-clock care, counseling, and education designed to help them reach their highest level of independence.

The Student Transition & Enrichment Program concentrates on developing work-readiness skills through individualized instruction, group seminars and activities, and an internship work experience matched to a student's identified strengths and interests.

Through residential summer programs and weekend workshops throughout the year, young adults, ages 16-22, are empowered to identify areas of educational and career interest, as well as obtain the necessary skills to successfully transition to college or employment.

Program Supervisor (Full-Time)

As the Children’s Residential Program Supervisor, you will join the CRP team to provide direct supervision. The ideal candidate will have excellent treatment services and leadership skills, extensive knowledge and background in adolescent mental health treatment including experience in Evidence Based Practices, expertise in family county systems of care, and mature team building and interpersonal skills. You must attain the ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with at risk youth and their parents, foster parents, caregivers, schools, other staff, physicians, county agencies, other health care and social services providers and the public. You will need to maintain therapeutic client contact to assist in providing behavioral management and provide collateral contacts with multidisciplinary treatment team. Junior Blind's medical team ensures our medical services are maintained at the highest levels. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will administer medications, notify student's attending/alternate physician, as well as the student's legal guardian/representative, when the student becomes ill or injured. You will develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel and departments to assure the medical services and activities can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the students.

Rehabilitation Specialist (Full-Time)

Junior Blind is pleased to announce that it will be adding mental health services to its already enriched resource and service support for DCFS youth placed in our residential program. Mental Health services will also be available to youth approved for placement in our residential program but placed on a waiting list. Additionally, mental health services will be available to youth discharged from our residential program and returning to their homes or communities. Mental Health services will be provided by a multidisciplinary team.

Our Accounting team of detail-oriented and experienced team members in the finance and accounting fields handle the core accounting roles at Junior Blind. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will maintain all accounts payable in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. This includes matching invoices with approved purchase orders, entering invoices into the accounts payable system, processing invoices in a timely manner, ensuring invoices are paid on time, and month-end closing of accounts payable into the general ledger.
