Orientation & Mobility Specialist

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and carry out a program of individualized instruction.
  • Instruction will include pre-cane skills, cane skills, indoor travel, outdoor travel, and overall independent safe travel.
  • Complete assessments and written reports for each student.

The experienced candidate will possess:

  • Master’s degree in Orientation and Mobility is required.
  • Certification by the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP) as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist is also required.
  • Possess and maintain a valid California Driver License and eligibility to drive agency vehicles is also necessary.
