Visionaries| Partners in Independence

Imagine learning your two-month old child will never be able to see your face…

Imagine your eight-year-old grandson suffers from vision loss and severe developmental delays all because someone shook him too hard as an infant…

Imagine, after serving your country for 30 years, you are suddenly blinded by insurgent mortar fire in Iraq…

For over five decades, generous private support from donors like you has helped Junior Blind of America enable more than 250,000 people with stories like these reach their goals and achieve their highest levels of independence.

As we endeavor to assist even more children, youth and adults in need of our critical services, we invite you to become a partner in independence by joining Junior Blind’s Visionaries. Your annual gift of $2,500, $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000 translates into tangible and meaningful services that otherwise would not be available to the thousands in need of our life-changing programs.

Each year, Junior Blind relies on private support to cover half of our operating budget. One of our largest programs, Camp Bloomfield, receives virtually no public funding and is made possible only through the generosity of people like you. All of our programs are free of charge.

Following are just a few examples of how Junior Blind’s Visionaries can change the lives of those who are blind, visually impaired or multi-disabled:

$2,500
sends four families to Infant-Family camp (a weekend retreat where the entire family benefits from support groups and recreational activities.)
$5,000
provides five children with the opportunity to attend a week-long session at Camp Bloomfield.
$10,000
sends 15 of our teenagers on a three-day Visions: Adventures in Learning trip.
$25,000
enables us to provide our adult students with the most up-to-date computer hardware and software as they work to enhance their marketability to employers.

We are delighted to honor your annual support as follows:

  • Recognition on Junior Blind’s annual donor wall
  • Listing in Junior Blind’s Annual Report
  • An invitation to our Visionaries appreciation event with Junior Blind’s President/CEO and Board of Directors
  • Invitations for you and your family to attend Junior Blind’s signature events, including the Halloween Carnival, Holiday Carnival and Junior Blind Olympics
