Junior Blind is thrilled to host a performance by critically-acclaimed pianist and composer Lisa Hilton on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the gymnasium on Junior Blind's Los Angeles campus. Hilton will be debuting new compositions from her 2017 release, Escapism, in this solo piano show.
Hilton has been generously sharing her award-winning music with people who are visually impaired for more than a dozen years, raising awareness for the need for support of the disabled community. Her 2018 performance at Junior Blind is free and open to the public. Those attending who wish to learn more about Junior Blind may join a brief campus tour before or after the 1:30 p.m. performance.
RSVP information will be made available soon.
Lisa Hilton has been generously bringing music to the visually impaired for nearly fifteen years, including the students of Junior Blind. She is considered one of America's most distinctive composer-pianists today. Classically trained in piano, but with a degree in art, she creates evocative and often impressionistic compositions which have been eloquently described as sound paintings.
